These licenses outline the permitted usage of illmo mockups. Review the details below to ensure compliance with your intended use. All licenses are lifetime, non-exclusive, and royalty-free.

  • Standard License

    For personal, student, or portfolio use. Not for paid or client projects.

    Number of projects: Unlimited personal projects
    Time period: Lifetime
    Client use: Not allowed
    Paid promotion: Not allowed

    YOU CAN:
    - Use illmo mockups for personal or self-promotional projects.
    - Display your designs on your website, Behance, or social media (organic, unpaid posts).
    - Include mockups in internal presentations, competitions, or academic work.

    YOU CAN’T:
    - Use mockups in any client or commercial projects.
    - Use mockups in paid ads, sponsorship or e-commerce listing.
    - Share, resell, or transfer the editable source files (PSD, AE).

  • Commercial License

    For freelancers, studios, and small businesses creating design work for clients or commercial use.

    DETAILS:
    Company size: 1-10 employees
    Number of projects: 1
    Time period: Lifetime
    Client use: Allowed
    Paid promotion: Allowed, limited

    YOU CAN:
    - Use illmo mockups for one (1) commercial or client project.
    - Showcase designs on websites, e-commerce, and in digital campaigns.
    - Use mockups in paid advertising, email campaigns, or social media.
    - Run one (1) paid advertising campaign across digital, print, or social media.
    - Print up to 5,000 items for non-resale purposes (e.g. flyers, packaging).

    YOU CAN’T:
    - Share, resell, or distribute the editable source files (PSD, AE) to clients or third parties.
    - Claim ownership or authorship of the original Illmo mockup design.

  • Extended License

    For larger companies or projects involving resale, large-scale advertising, or multiple uses.

    YOU CAN:
    - Use illmo mockups for one (1) commercial projects or clients.
    - Use mockups in products for sale, such as templates, books, courses, or print-on-demand items.
    - Run unlimited paid advertising campaigns across digital, print, or outdoor media.
    - Use mockups in large-scale promotional materials, including billboards, retail packaging, or media campaigns.
    - Print unlimited items, including products for sale (e.g., packaging, merchandise, print-on-demand items, books, or course materials).

    YOU CAN'T:
    - Share, resell, or distribute the editable source files (PSD, AE) to clients or third parties.
    - Claim ownership or authorship of the original Illmo mockup design.

License FAQ

What does “license” mean?

A license defines how you are allowed to use an Illmo mockup.
When you purchase a mockup, you’re not buying ownership of the file, you’re buying the right to use it under the terms of the selected license (Standard, Commercial, or Extended).

What does "client use" mean?

“Client use” means you can use the mockup when creating design work for a paying client or company. For example, if you’re designing a brand identity, packaging, or a website for a client, you can present your design using our mockups, as long as you have a Commercial or Extended license.

Clients may receive flattened images or rendered videos (for example, exported JPGs, PNGs or MP4) that include the mockup, but they cannot receive or edit the original mockup file (PSD or AE). The license always belongs to the person or company who made the purchase.

Can I use illmo mockups in client projects?

Yes, if you choose the Commercial or Extended license. The Standard license is only for personal or self-promotional use, not for paid or client work.

Can my client use the mockup file?

No. Clients can receive flattened images (for example, exported JPGs or PNGs), but not the editable source files. Each license is granted to the person or company who made the purchase.

Can I upgrade my license later?

Yes. If your project grows or changes scope, you can upgrade from Standard to Commercial or Extended by contacting us at hello@illmomockups.com.
